Chappelle’s Towing Gives Back
For nearly 40 years, Chappelle’s Towing has been successfully operating in Clark County, and we want to give back to a community that has supported us for so long. Whether it’s bringing joy to at-risk youth or supporting breast cancer awareness with our pink tow trucks, we have been collaborating with Clark County organizations for years.
He Shoots, He Scores!
In collaboration with Three Kings Environmental, Chappelle’s Towing arranges for children involved with the Fruit Valley Boys & Girls club to attend Winterhawks games during the season. These games are used as a perk for good grades, a reward, or a way for at-risk youths to venture into Portland for the very first time in many cases.
Owners or representatives of Three Kings, an active board member of the Fruit Valley Boys and Girls Club, and Chappelle’s will transport the children and their sponsors to the game, stay with them in the suite, have food, and cheer on the Hawks!
Chappelle’s also attends many events and donates to the club throughout the year. Because one of our offices are located in Battle Ground, we also work closely with the Rocksolid Teen Community Center. In addition to sponsoring their shuttle vans, we also make donations to their annual event, held in early Spring.
Need A Lift?
Now in its fifth year, our Community Uplift Program has been donating a car to a Clark County family in need. The program started when we were searching for a way to help the community through our business. Because of our car auctions, we had a ready-made gift at our fingertips.
Collaborating with Jacobus CARSTAR, we choose a car from one of our lots and Jacobus does the rest. This includes detailing, repairing, and other services to make sure the car looks good, runs good, and is a reliable source of transportation for a family that really needs it.
In 2019, we held the event at Warehouse 23 on the Columbia River Waterfront. With food provided by Warehouse 23, the community came together for this fun event. Click here for more information about the event, including how to nominate someone for next year.
Perhaps our largest community collaboration is the one that hits close to home. Chappelle’s Towing is very passionate about Breast Cancer Awareness as one of the owner’s mother had a double mastectomy due to breast cancer. It’s why our trucks are pink and why we were very drawn towards the Pink Lemonade Project.
For many breast cancer survivors and their families, the emotional and psychological toll of diagnosis and recovery becomes too much to bear. Since 2010, The Pink Lemonade Project has been working to provide critical support for breast cancer survivors who need help.
Through a variety of programs, including retreats, mentoring, and support groups, these survivors get the encouragement and inspiration they need to improve their outlooks. One of the other reasons we joined is because they needed fundamental support to reach the Russian community and reaching out to different communities. We’re able to help in that respect, expanding their programs and helping them grow.
Much like Clark County has helped us grow over nearly four decades. It has been our pleasure to give back to the community in the past and present and for many years to come.
